sarah mynardSarah Mynard is a Consultant Solicitor with Scott-Moncrieff. She is a highly experienced lawyer having worked in the field of litigation for over 25 years. Prior to joining Scott-Moncrieff Sarah founded and ran her own law firm, Wisdom Law Limited, for over a decade (2009-2020) specialising in dental negligence claims. Sarah is dually qualified as a Solicitor Advocate and as a Barrister. She was a tenant at 3PB in 2019. She was a Visiting Tutor at the University of Law (2017-2018), delivering dispute resolution workshops to post-graduate law students. Sarah obtained her law qualifications (LLB) at Queen Mary & College, London University and Guildford Law School. She obtained sponsorship to attend Law School from renowned City Firm, RPC, where she completed her training before moving to Farrington and Whiting in Brighton, where she qualifited as Solicitor in 1991.

In 1993 Sarah was made a salaried Partner with Farrington & Whiting and in 1996 when the firm merged and became Farrington Webb (now Griffith Smith) she was made an equity Partner heading up the firm’s Litigation Department.

During this time she obtained a master’s degree in Personal Injury law (LLM) with De Montfort University and served for many years as Secretary of the Sussex Law Society and sat on the Appeals Committee at the Legal Services Commission (formerly the Legal Aid Board). Sarah is a Solicitor Advocate (and a non-practising barrister) and holds the Solicitors' Civil Higher Rights of Audience qualification which enables her to represent her clients in the Higher Courts in England and Wales.

Sarah was a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel between 1996 and 2007 and undertook a secondment working at the Action for Victims of Medical Accidents. She has been accredited as a Senior Litigator by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). She set up a Consortium of Personal Injury Lawyers called Accident Line Sussex a specialist group endorsed by the Law Society as experts in providing advice in Personal Injury cases.


Sarah has specialised in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Law since 1991 and developed a niche interest in Dental Negligence in 2000. She has personally conducted over 300 dental negligence cases and supervised many more.

Sarah pioneered the use of No Win No Fee Agreements in Clinical Negligence cases and lobbied Parliament for a change in the law to make it compulsory for dentists to have professional indemnity insurance. Following the formation of a Pressure Group, Bridge the Gap, it is now a legal requirement for dentists to have professional indemnity insurance.

Sarah’s interests are walking, cycling, books, theatre, children and charity work. She sat on the original Martlets Hospice Committee raising money to build the new Hospice and organised numerous fund raising events. She participated in a soup run for the homeless whilst training to be a Solicitor. In 2002 she climbed Mount Kiliminjaro and raised over £9,000 for Whizz-Kidz. She ran the second Brighton Marathon in 2011 raising money to fund a new library in Cape Verde and to provide aid to Africa. She has been involved in numerous events to raise money for charity including taking part in the London to Brighton overnight bike ride and several half-marathons.
